America: 3rd June 2017

Our first 'Buzz Buzz' visited the Hummingbird feeder!! AWWWWWW!!!!!!!! It was a green Hummingbird too! We tried taking lots of photos this morning but he was a bit nervous of us and kept flying away. However he kept re-appearing! :3 <3

Today Sabine and I walked to Walmart again. I didn't say this the other day but a few days ago we bumped into a passer by with his baby who J-walked the street when we were on our way to buying an allen-key. I didn't want to mention him in my blog because I didn't want to give him the time of day, even in my blog, however I will today-
This guy encouraged us to J walk, which is a criminal offense, but he also encouraged us NOT to buy at Walmart because you don't get a good "shopping experience". He even went as far to say that he wouldn't take his kids there because of this. For starters, whats a "Shopping experience"? Is it something to do with hippy feng shui? He was trying to say that you don't get the decent sort of shoppers there. errrr, hu? Ummm, who cares about the shoppers??? Anyway, today, Sabine and I joked about this. lol

It was another hot day to walk to Walmart, but it was still good in its own right. However the people at Walmart did tell us that the bikes we ordered, that should be ready for us by now, were 'lost in transit' (stollen?) So we had the option of getting a refund. We took that. Who needs bikes anyway when we have plans for NZ? The true question is how long will it be before we are in Dunedin. It could still be months, so maybe we do need bikes? :s

We had a nice sandwich that we bought from Walmart. The price was only $5 for a huge footlong subway type sandwich that we shared. We also joked at the even bigger sizes. And man, you should have seen the sizes of the fresh pizzas! They were ENORMOUS!

We were knackered when we got back. However we rested and eventually went to Albertsons for bananas which we couldn't buy at Walmart because we already had enough to carry back at the time. We ended up coming away with alcohol because comparatively speaking, its one of the only cheap 'food items' here in the states.
We are also completely confused by the prices labeled at Albertsons. There are 3 prices labeled. I should take a photo as an example and see if anyone on Facebook can decipher the true price.

Sabine has been typing for hours today. I think her blog either today or tomorrow is going to be epic. A true marathon sized essay.

Still, we plan on having a drink tonight with Once Upon A Time with "chips" (crisps). Good stuff.
